FM: Belarus is ready for dialogue with Poland, but on mutually respectful terms
Belarus is ready for a dialogue with Poland but on mutually respectful terms, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik said in an interview to ONT TV channel on 12 November, BelTA has learned.

"We did not initiate the deterioration of relations with Poland. We had to react to numerous, I would even say, systemic unfriendly steps by the Polish government in relation to Belarus. We have always advocated dialogue and continue to do so. We have always advocated the principles of good-neighborliness. The head of our state has repeatedly spoken about this. We conveyed these messages through our own channels in our communication with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. Therefore, the Polish side knows very well that we are ready for dialogue," Sergei Aleinik said. "But this dialogue should be absolutely mutually respectful and should be carried out without any preconditions."

"We are waiting until Poland forms its new government and then will see where the new [Polish] government will take us in our bilateral relations," the minister said.
