Belarusian Gets Into Forbes 30 Under Europe 30 List Of Young Visionaries For 2021

Maria Zhivitskaya, a native of Belarus, was added to the Forbes Under 30 Europe list of the most promising people in Europe under 30 years old.

“The visionaries on this year’s list continue to prove that youth is not wasted on the young. They are the result of thousands of international nominations, months of investigative reporting and the seal of approval from our panel of blue ribbon judges. The result: 300 young visionaries boldly entrepreneurs ten industries across 34 countries,” the Forbes authors note.

Maria Zhivitskaya was included in the “Finance” category. Her profile reads that she is 29-year old, she works for Vanguard, the world’s 2nd largest fund manager with $7 trillion of assets under management. After receiving her PhD from the London School of Economics, Zhivitskaya started her career at Goldman Sachs before moving on to Prudential. She also teaches at Sciences Po in Paris and Saïd Business School in Oxford.

The first time a representative of Belarus featured in the 30 Under 30 Europe list was in 2019. It was Anisia Kozlyuk from Minsk, a volunteer of the deregistered human rights centre Vesna, who was nominated in the “Law and Politics” category. The girl became the youngest one (21 years old) out of 30 nominees in this category.
