The United Civil Party is planning to organize the Freeloaders’ March in Minsk on March 15 – a street action for people obliged to pay the freeloaders’ tax. The action organizing committee will gather on January 19, UCP leader Anatol Lyabedzka said. It is not clear who will apply for the action. UCP will suggest that other opposition structures supported the idea.

"We would like to organize the March on the Constitution Day to demonstrate that ‘the freeloaders’ decree’ has introduced forced labour and violates the Constitution,” BelaPAN quotes Lyabedzka.

UCP started collecting signatures for the abolishment of the President’s Decree “On prevention of freeloading” on Wednesday. 148 signatures have been collated, Lyabedzka said. The party is planning to collect signatures in Mahilyou, Byaroza, Ivyanets, Pruzhany and Baranavichy. It will be part of the United Civil Party’s recently announced campaign “Fight unemployment, not the unemployed”. The collected signatures will be brought to the House of Representatives by MP Hanna Kanapatskaya. She will demonstrate them during the discussion of decree #1 that corrects ‘the freeloaders’ decree’.
