In connection with the demise of Iran President Ebrahim Raisi Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made a statement criticizing the vile policy of the United States of America, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko described Ebrahim Raisi as a kind friend of both Belarus and Russia. “He was a normal, kind man, who maintained a sincere and honest dialogue with us and was concerned about the development of his own state and about protecting interests of his own nation. How it happened and the rest… A lot is being said about it now. I think Iran is a country capable of finding out what happened there,” the head of state noted.
Talking as a person and not a president, Aleksandr Lukashenko also mentioned the vile policy of the United States of America, which had brought about Ebrahim Raisi’s demise. “I mean sanctions first of all. Those scoundrels had no right to introduce sanctions against vessels (aircraft, helicopters) that transport people. They have introduced sanctions against vessels in Russia, against us. Against my aircraft, for instance. They will not be able to get Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin] because his aircraft is of Russian make. But they have introduced these sanctions. Is that normal? People need to move about. You’ve’ sold this vessel. It doesn’t matter whether this helicopter has existed for 40 or 50 years. It may have flown only three times over the course of 50 years and could have been in good state if it had been serviced properly. But they have forbidden their companies to offer maintenance. This is why they also share the guilt for it. They forbade servicing this helicopter. I know it for sure,” he said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko pointed out that those guilty of making such decisions should await just retribution: “The Lord will respond. It is not a proper way to behave. It once again confirms what Russia does and other countries that support it do today in view of the destruction of the unipolar world order.”
The president is convinced that a multipolar world order will be established. “And those madmen [in the USA] bring this multipolar world closer with their actions. Who likes it? They didn’t like it. They stole money. From Russia and not only from Russia in this case. They snatched and arrested some vessel. They took away a tanker. They seized goods… Everything is permissible since they have the strength. I am no mystic but time will come when they will reap it. They will not be able to hide across the ocean,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
In turn, President of Russia Vladimir Putin noted that other people, who had been accompanying the Iranian president, had been on board two helicopters of Russian make in the same weather and had flown along the same air corridor without any problems.
