Special evacuation flight by Belarusian Belavia departs from Israel

A special flight by the Belarusian Belavia airline with 117 Belarusian citizens on board took off from Israel's Ben-Gurion Airport, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

In his comments to the media Belarusian Ambassador to Israel Evgeny Vorobyov noted that 117 passengers are citizens of Belarus. These are those who wanted to leave the conflict zone at the moment.

The ambassador thanked Belavia for the organization of the flight.

According to Belavia, out of 117 passengers 108 are adults, and 9 are children under the age of 2.

The flight is operated by 3 experienced pilots, flight attendants and aviation technicians.

The flight became possible thanks to the assistance of the foreign ministries of the two countries, the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Israel, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus and other relevant authorities.
