Belarus wants Poland to investigate violation of state border by Polish army helicopter
After a helicopter of the Polish army violated Belarus' state border on 1 September, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of Poland in Belarus Wojciech Filimonovich was summoned to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BelTA has learned.

Belarus demanded explanations from Poland and a thorough investigation of the incident. Belarus looks forward to hearing about results of the investigation and reasons for the incident within a reasonable period of time as is the custom in international communication.

Wojciech Filimonovich was told that violations of Belarus' state border are unacceptable. Belarus expressed an earnest request that Warsaw should take measures to rule out similar incidents in the future.

BelTA reported earlier that the Belarusian border service detected a violation of Belarus' air space in Berestovitsa District, Grodno Oblast on 1 September. A Mi-24 helicopter of the Polish army crossed the Belarusian border at an extremely low altitude, flew up to 1.2km into Belarus' territory, and returned to Poland.
