About 60% of Belarusian companies are unprofitable or underperforming. This is according to the official statistics for the first ten months of 2015.
As a result of economic activity data for 10 months, 1,663 enterprises proved unprofitable, the low level of profitability (up to 5%) was in 2,924 enterprises.
BelaPAN notes that since the statistics take into account the financial performance of 7,877 companies, it appears that more than half of the enterprises are unprofitable or underperforming. Compared with the same period last year, the number of unprofitable enterprises has increased by 23%.
