According to Guinness World Records, Alexander Imich was over 111 years old.

Imich was born in February 1903 in Poland (then a part of the Russian Empire). He and his wife (born in Pruzhany District, Belarus) were forced to leave for Russia by the Soviet authorities in the 1940s. They left for Poland after an amnesty and moved to the USA. Alexander worked as a chemist there.

He was added on the Guinness World Records in April 2014. Imich said that loved sport, did not drink alcohol and dieted himself.

Japanese Sakari Momoi is the world’s oldest living man now.
