Belarus’ national airline Belavia plans to launch a service from Minsk to Switzerland’s Geneva on December 17.

The airline is to operate three flights a week to Geneva and back on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, using Embraer 175, CRJ 100/200 and Boeing 735-500 planes, according to the Belavia press office.

Economy-class passengers will have to pay €275 to travel to Geneva and back, whereas a two-way business-class ticket will cost €975.

Belavia expects the new service to be especially popular among businesspeople as Geneva is a large business center in Europe where many companies and organizations that have ties with Belarus are located, said Director General Anatol Husaraw.

The airline currently operates 21 aircraft, including six Boeing 737-500s, six Boeing 737-300s, two Embraer-175s, four CRJ 100/200s and three Tu-154s. //BelaPAN
