Inflation in Belarus made up 108.7% in 2011

The National Statistics Committee of Belarus reported on 9 January that inflation in the country in 2011 amounted to 108.7%.

In December compared with November prices rose by 2.3%. In fact, core inflation, which excludes changes in the prices for individual goods and services regulated by the state, as well as the changes in the prices for seasonal products was 118.1% in 2011.

Industrial producer prices in December compared to November increased by 3.9%, including for capital goods by 6.2%, intermediate goods by 3.6% and consumer goods by 3.5%.

Groceries in December rose in price by 1.9% compared to November and by 125% compared to December 2010 .

Prices for industrial goods in December increased by 2.5% compared to November and by 112% compared to December 2010 .

Prices and tariffs for paid services in December increased by 3.1% compared to November and by 64.9% compared to December 2010.
