In January 2016, Belarus consumer price index for goods and services rose by 1.9% compared with December 2015, BelTA reported referring to the National Statistics Committee.
In particular, food prices in January rose by 1.5% compared to December 2015 and by 10.6% compared with January 2015. Prices of non-food products increased by 1.2% and 10.2%, respectively.
Compared with December 2015, the price index and tariffs for paid services increased by 4%. Compared to January 2015, the increase was 15.8%.
