Belarus’ potash company Belaruskali has been ordered to transfer 407.1 billion rubels (around $145 million) to the Special State Fund for National Development.
Under a directive issued by the Council of Ministers on September 3, the company should make the payments out of its profit earned in the first half of this year.
In June, the cabinet issued a list of more than 100 highly profitable companies that must transfer part of their profit to the fund, which was set up in pursuance of Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s December 2005 edict.
