World Bank revises Belarus GDP projections for 2024 upwards
The World Bank has revised its projections concerning Belarus’ GDP in 2024 upwards, BelTA learned from the World Bank’s publication “Europe and Central Asia economic update, Fall 2024: Better education for stronger growth”.

The World Bank expects Belarus’ GDP to grow by 4% in 2024 and by 1.2% in 2025. The World Bank’s projections were much more moderate in June 2024: only 1.2% and 0.7% respectively.

According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, in January-September 2024 Belarus’ GDP grew by 4.5% while the annual target stands at 3.8%. For now the economy is growing at a rate well above the projected one. In 2025 Belarus’ GDP is supposed to rise by 4.1%.
