Belarus and India have identified a list of mutually beneficial investment projects for joint implementation, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik said at a solemn event to mark India’s 75th Republic Day on 26 January, BelTA has learned.

“Last year Belarus and India continued to develop sustainable relations, strengthen political dialogue, expand economic and humanitarian ties,” Sergei Aleinik said. “Despite the objective difficulties, we managed to ensure the growth of trade. In 2023 we reached $500 million in mutual trade.”

The minister also mentioned that the parties held meetings of joint working groups on pharmaceuticals, textile industry, interbank consultations, as well as a series of business contacts and visits, including industrial, pharmaceutical, chemical and business forums.

“We continued effective work in agriculture, industry and pharmaceuticals. We outlined a list of mutually beneficial investment projects for joint implementation,” Sergei Aleinik said.
