Belarus' export reaches $10.8bn in January-March 2022
In January-March 2022, Belarus' export of merchandise and services rose by 4.8% year-on-year up to $10.824 billion, BelTA learned from the website of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).

In January-March 2022 Belarus' foreign trade totaled $20.658 billion, up by 4% year-on-year. Import amounted to $9.834 billion (up by 3.3%). Surplus of foreign trade in goods and services equaled $989.5 million, up from $808 million in January-March 2021.

Belarus' merchandise trade expanded by 5.6% to reach $17.317 billion. Merchandise export went up by 5.7% to $8.557 billion, with merchandise import up by 5.5% to $8.759 billion. Merchandise trade deficit totaled $202.1 million. In January-March 2021 Belarus also had a deficit of $210.6 million.

In January-March 2022 foreign trade in services reached $3.341 billion, up by 3.5% year-on-year. Export of services amounted to $2.266 billion (up by 1.2%), with import standing at $1.074 billion (up by 12%). Surplus of foreign trade in services equaled $1.191 billion, up from $1.018 billion in January-March 2021.
