Belarus’ GDP reported up 1.2 percent in 2019
Belarus’ Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by an estimated 1.2 percent in 2019 to total 132 billion rubels, the National Statistical Committee (Belstat) reported on Thursday.

According to Belstat, GDP grew by 1.1 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019, 0.9 percent in the first half of the year and one percent in the first three quarters.

The government had projected GDP to grow by 0.6 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019, 1.8 percent in the first half of the year, 3.1 percent in the first three quarters and four percent in the year 2019 as a whole.

In 2018, GDP reportedly grew by three percent, whereas the government had expected a growth of 3.5 percent.
