The analytical agency TourStat has compiled a rating of Russian tourists’ travels to the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) for the May holidays. The leaders are Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
Baku ranks first among the CIS cities in popularity among Russian tourists in May 2019. Minsk comes second, followed by Nur-Sultan, Yerevan, Almaty, Tashkent, Bishkek, Chisinau, Dushanbe and Ashgabat.
According to TourStat, on average, in May, Russian tourists come for 3-5 days. Baku is usually chosen for shopping.
