Number of online shops 10% up since year start in Belarus

The number of online shops in Belarus has grown 10% up to over 17 000 since the beginning of the year, reports BELTA quoting Artur Karpovich, Senior Deputy Trade and Antitrust Minister.
"The majority of online shops - over 51% - are owned by self-employed entrepreneurs. Online shops accounted for 3.5% of the total retail turnover in 2017," Karpovich said.
The share of state-owned Internet shops is around 8-9%.
