Ministry of Energy promises to stick to all IAEA mission’s recommendations

Belarus is ready to fulfil all the IAEA’s recommendations pronounced after the visit of a SEED-mission to Belarus, Minister of Energy Uladzimir Patupchuk announced.

"Belarus respects the IAEA recommendations and we will try to realise all of the SEED-mission’s suggestions made this week,” interfax.by quotes the Belarusian Minister.

Patupchyk thanked the IAEA for an impartial approach to the mission. Belarus expects to create “a safe, clean and economically efficient branch – the atomic energy” in cooperation with the IAEA.

Minsk has taken all the possible threats into account when making designing the Belarusian NPP, Director of the IAEA’s Division of Nuclear Installation Safety Greg Rzentkowski said.

The Belarusian government will receive the mission’s report within 90 days. The authorities have already announced their intent to make it public.
