Long-term Visas to Belarus will become cheaper in 2017
Starting 2017 Belarusian visas will become cheaper for Europeans. The information was confirmed by the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik, TUT.BY reports on Friday.

Full details will be announced next week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

“Indeed, some types of Belarusian visas will become much cheaper for citizens of certain countries of the EU”, Dmitry Mironchik stated.

At present the cost of 1-year Belarusian visa for Europeans is 150 euros. According to Radio Svaboda, next year it will cost 60 euros – as much as a Schengen visa for Belarusians. The consular fee for a single entry visa will remain at 25 euros for citizens of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland and 60 euros for the citizens of other EU states.

This year Belarus allowed visa-free entry for foreigners to Grodno region, last year – to the Bialowieza Forest national park on the border with Poland.

Also today it was announced that Belarusians will receive biometric passports and national ID-cards in the end of 2018. This is one of the EU conditions for visa facilitation with Belarus.
