First Deputy Prime Minister Uladzimir Siamashka is in Moscow to discuss Russia's ban on products of 20 dairies and meat-packers from Belarus.

In Moscow, talks are held on supplies of Belarusian foodstuffs to Russia. The Belarusian delegation is headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Uladzimir Siamashka, and the Russian one - by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.

According to BelaPAN, the Belarusian delegation also includes the deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture Igar Brylo and the Director of Veterinary and Food Supervision Vasil Pivavar. The parties are discussing the problem of food supplies to Russia. It is planned, in particular, to discuss a temporary ban on the supply of products to Russia from about 20 Belarusian milk- and meat-packing plants, as well as transit through Belarus to Kazakhstan of goods from EU countries that fall under Russian sanctions. The talks will last one day.

On 25 November, the ways to resolve the conflict with the supply of products from Belarus were discussed in Moscow by representative of Belarus, Minister for Industry and Agribusiness of Eurasian Economic Commission, Syarhei Sidorsky and the head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert. They noted that the adoption of restrictions is not consistent with the objectives of the Customs Union. Sidorsky suggested not to impose restrictions on the transit of goods that fall under the ban in Russia, and to maximize the opportunities of joint control at the external borders of the Customs Union. He also recommended that the Russian side refrained from the use of restrictive measures against Belarusian companies before the review of the quality of their products is complete.
