The volume of Belarusian foodstuffs that will be supplied to Russia is to be determined in a matter of days.
"Our Belarusian colleagues have capacities for supplying meat, milk, cheese, and potatoes. We have agreed in the next few days to verify the balances and agree on the maximum and minimum volumes of supplies," said Arkady Dvorkovich in the Russian television broadcast. After that contract terms of these supplies will be determined, he added.
According to the vice-premier of the Russian government, the imbalance of food supply in the Kaliningrad region will be largely covered by Belarusian goods. "I think that the imbalance in the Kaliningrad market will be largely mitigated by Belarusian goods. We count on our friends," he said.
It should be recalled that the problem of food supply to Russia appeared after the decision to refuse the supply of meat, fish, milk, fruits and vegetables from the EU, USA, Canada, Australia and Norway.
