A Belarusian delegation led by Economy Minister Nikolai Snopkov is in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 8-10 April, partaking in the 4th Annual Investment Forum, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Economy Ministry.
Nikolai Snopkov met with UAE Economy Minister Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori to discuss the main cooperation areas and the prospects of joint investment projects. The parties signed a memorandum of understanding between the Economy Ministry of Belarus and the UAE in investment cooperation.
“The ministers agreed that a delegation of the United Arab Emirates will pay a return visit to Belarus in June 2014. It is expected that the delegation will comprise official persons and representatives of the UAE business,” the press service said.
While in the UAE, the Belarusian delegation is due to hold meetings with companies such as Majid Al Futtaim, Damac Group, International Petroleum Investment Company, CPC International, Mashreq Bank, and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
The Annual Investment Forum in Dubai makes a platform for establishing and developing investment cooperation between the countries, sharing experience in the implementation of investment projects and attracting foreign investment.
