Alyaksandr Lukashenka suggested that the KGB should hire young employees only with recommendations of BRSM, a pro-presidential youth organisation.
"I don't hide and don't want to hide: we have supported and will support the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM)," Lukashenka said Monday at a meeting with Ihar Buzouski, the first secretary of the BRSM Central Committee.
He noted BRSM and Belaya Rus organisation were a good personnel reserve. "What concerns the State Security Committee (KGB), the Interior Ministry and all law enforcement agencies, we will make a BRSM recommendation mandatory for working in these agencies and therefore we are going to strengthen the role of the youth organisation in this regard," said the President.
