On Tuesday and Wednesday in two capital areas can be seen the figures depicting members of the Belarusian riot police in full length.
"Everyone who passes by will be able to feel oneself as a student arrested by riot police", Kiril Atamanchyk has explained the purpose of the action organized by the youth association Studalliance.
We remind, Belarusian police and the riot police during the reign of Alexander Lukashenko in Belarus is constantly breaking up opposition's and human rights activists' rallies, they detain their members, and in Belarusian jails after the events of December 19, 2010 still there are political prisoners.
European Humanities University students were also subjected to harassment. University is now located in the Lithuanian capital, as it has been closed by the decision of the Belarusian authorities in Minsk.
"We wanted to remind in a joking manner about what is happening there, although the action is actually really serious", K.Atamanchik says.
The figures serve as a sort of riot police stands, which contains information about political prisoners, human rights violations and the situation in Belarus.
Figures of the Belarusian policemen in full growth could be observed at the Town Hall Square and at the Square of Europe.
The action is authorized, the only thing that worried the organizers - vandalism, i.e that figures will be broken. According K.Atamanchik, passers-by expressed keen interest in the figures of riot policemen, and many people asked about the situation in Belarus.
