Commenting on the action to UDF.BY website, Tatiana Gatsura noted, that she has intentionally chosen this method of protest.
"I don't believe in the power of signatures collected anonymously. If we really want to influence the situation, you need to learn how to do it openly and be prepared to defend your position", Gatsura said. According to her, the action - with kids, a colorful banner and balloons - has attracted the mass media attention, and the appeal won't be unnoticed.
When approaching the Administration, Gatsura family and journalists were not stopped by the police, but as Tatiana told, all the way they were accompanied by officers in plain clothes.
Officer of the Presidential Administration read the appeal, but didn't register it, because Gatsura had no passport. She could not get a book of complaints and suggestions for the same reason.
"I was with my children, and most importantly, that for them, all what happened was like a game. I was doing it for their future, because in my country it is not just hard to live, but also dangerous. And I really wish, that they won't leave from here", Tatiana Gatsura said.
