A law shouldn't simply be passed, but also conform to the Constitution, human rights activist says
The human rights activist Oleg Volchek commented on adoption of amendments by the House of Representatives to the laws on political parties, public associations and special services. We remind, they were adopted in secret in early October and the public learned about them just now.
"My colleagues are shocked. Even those who work in the prosecutor's office. Because the changes were adopted in secret, were not discussed... A law shouldn't simply be passed, but also conform to the Constitution.
If we talk about these amendments as a whole, all the activities of even not the opposition, not the human right protectors, all the activities of any citizen who just starts to protest, can be considered under any of these amendments", said Oleg Volchek in an interview with Euroradio.
