8481 babies were born in Belarus in January. At the same time, 12391 people died. Accordingly, the Belarusian population decreased by 3910 people in January.
The highest January birth rate was registered in Brest Province and the highest death rate – in Vitsebsk Province, reports the National Statistic Committee.
6% more weddings were registered this January. On the contrary, the number of divorces has decreased by 5.5%.
