Belarus, Hungary to expand cooperation in education

Belarus and Hungary plan to expand cooperation in education. The issue was discussed at the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Hungary Vladimir Ulakhovich with Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Miklos Lengyel, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

“The parties discussed Belarusian-Hungarian cooperation in education, including scholarship programs for students in Belarus and Hungary. They outlined steps for further intensification of the relevant cooperation and outlined a plan of joint activities for the near future,” the embassy said.

Vladimir Ulakhovich visited Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) in March. The head of the diplomatic mission met with Head of Directorate for International Relations and Foreign Affairs David Bencsik and got familiar with the history, structure and international activities of MATE.

The parties discussed the topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, with an emphasis on educational and research activities. The parties exchanged concrete proposals on intensification of contacts, implementation of joint projects, participation in international events and work of Belarusian-Hungarian dialogue formats.
