Kochanova: Belarus might ban LGBT propaganda
A law banning LGBT propaganda may appear in Belarus, Chair of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalya Kochanova said at the meeting of the Council of Elders, BelTA has learned.

“The Expert Council under the Council of the Republic is working quite intensively. Today in the first half of the day we discussed three bills that we need to adopt,” said Natalya Kochanova.

The speaker noted that life constantly presents new challenges. “Maybe we will need to come up with a legislative initiative on the inadmissibility of the spread of LGBT propaganda. When I was on an official visit to Moscow, the State Duma adopted a law banning LGBT propaganda. I guess we will have to do the same. And this will be right. One should not propagate this. We have family values, traditions that we pass on from generation to generation: the traditions of the family, Eastern Orthodox Christianity,” the head of the Council of the Republic emphasized.
