Tram #6
Contactless bank cards and smartphones can now be used to pay for ground transport in Minsk. The initiative was launched on May 23. At first, payment by card and phone will work only in trams No. 6. If the test is successful, this payment method will be used in all urban public transport.

According to BPS-Sberbank, which is implementing the project together with MinskTrans and IBA Group, you can pay for the ride with a contactless card of any bank of Visa, Mastercard and Belcard payment systems. You can pay in the car using a smartphone, key fobs, watches and other mobile devices that support NFC technology.

Passengers will be able to see the history of travel and expenses in the passenger’s personal account on the system’s website. There you can also check the status of a bank card and get an electronic card check. It will also display trips paid for at the Moscow Metro turnstiles.
