Rainbow flag hoisted on British Embassy in Minsk (photo)

A rainbow flag was today hoisted on the building of the British Embassy in Minsk next to the UK and EU flags. Today is the International Day Against Homophobia.
The British Embassy also hoisted a rainbow flag last year. Back then, Minister of Internal Affairs Ihar Shunevich emotionally commented: “This is the propaganda of a lifestyle that is unacceptable for us,” he said on Belarus 1 state TV channel.
The MIA also publicly criticized homosexual relations earlier. The statements resulted in a heated discussion on social media and led to performance acts.
