Belarus, Russia agree on visa-free travel for FIFA World Cup visitors

Belarus and Russia have agreed on visa-free travel for foreigners attending the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and the 2nd European Games in 2019 in Minsk. The intergovernmental agreement was signed on 29 May in Minsk by Belarusian and Russian Foreign Ministers Uladzimir Makei and Sergei Lavrov, reports BELTA.

The visa-free regime for foreign fans will be effective on the territory of Belarus from 4 June through 25 July when Russia will be hosting the FIFA World Cup. The 2nd European Games will take place in Belarus in the summer of 2019. Russia will provide the similar visa-free status to foreign fans traveling to Belarus.
