A monument to Lenin will appear near Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ-2) before November 7 following a request from 'communists and veterans,’ tut.by reports quoting the administration of the enterprise.
The monument used to be in the square neat the plant in the Soviet time. It was moved to the inner yard of the plant several years ago.
People have been asking the administration to move the monument back to the square, deputy CEO of the plant Andrei Suslenka explained. They wanted to lay flowers to the monument on the anniversary of the October revolution but could not enter the territory of the plant. “We discussed the issue and decided to bring the monument back. Every citizen can see it now,” Suslenka explained. ”
The monument to Lenin will be opened near MTZ at 1 p.m. on November 7. The plant will organize festive events there.
