During the final game between football teams from Pinsk and Moscow, young Russians showered insults the referee and called their Belarusian counterparts ‘kolkhozniks’ [hicks, louts – Belsat].
The young athletes from a sports school in Moscow’s Strogino lost their nerves 10 minutes before the end of the game, when their Belarusian competitors began to win (3:2). A 14-year-old Russian player started to hurl insults at the referee. He did not want to calm down even after receiving a yellow card.
Then the referee judge decided to send the hot-blooded footballer off. But when another Russian player started to misbehave, the arbiter ended the match. When the Russians were leaving the stadium, one of them turned a table and broke a cup standing on it.
Their coach’s manners were also far from impeccability. He repeatedly ran out into the playing field but instead of making the team easy he incited them against the competitors.
As a result of the brawl, the Russian team was disqualified and left Pinsk.
