The unemployed are not in a hurry to pay the 'parasite' tax of Br3.6 million, even with a 10% discount.

The 'social parasite tax' of 3.6 million is to be paid by November 15, 2016 by the citizens who worked less than 183 days in the year inside Belarus. If you voluntarily pay this fee before June 2016, there is a 10% discount. It is 360 thousand rubles less, if you voluntarily confess to being a parasite.

As Euroradio learned from the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, the "conscientious parasites" had already sent notifications of readiness to pay a fee. But only a few of them.

In Minsk, the tax authorities said there was only one citizen who had paid to the state for social parasitism:

"Only one person has paid. A list of these people will be drawn by the Ministry of Taxes and Duties," said the Minsk tax inspectorate official.

The unregistered by the CEC presidential candidate wannabe and a well-known 'parasite' Yury Shulhan has yet to pay, even with a discount.

"We have paid nothing and expect that the law will not work. If matured, the law could be canceled or changed," said Paulyuk Kanavalchyk, campaign manager of Yury Shulhan.

We have not found conscientious unemployed people who had decided to pay for unemployment while there is a discount in the regions either. But the local authorities immediately advise you how and where to pay taxes, and what you need for this:

"Come to the tax service office with your passport and write a statement, then you will have a discount," described the procedure the Rahachou office official.

In the tax service office the honest parasite is to write a statement, they are then charged a tax, which is to be paid at a discount of 10% until May 31 next year.

The Partyzansky rayon tax service of Minsk has no lists of parasites yet: 'We have not set our net yet.' Moreover, the lists, as it turns out, are to be drafted not by the regional inspections but the very Ministry of Taxes and Duties.

"It involves several agencies. But there will be no special commission there. A special software will be created, which will have a list of persons subject to the parasite duty," explained an employee of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties. It looks like there will be created no new department to put together all Belarusian parasites.

On January 1, 2016, parasites should start getting messages from the tax service with a demand to pay a fee. Five months are left to create a "base of parasites."
