The 4:0 victory over Naftan at home secured the Barysau side the Belarusian championship title ahead of schedule.
The outcome was already clear in the first period: Alyaksandr Yermakovich’s team was leading 3:0. Vital Radzivonau scored another goal in the second period and eth score became 4:0.
BATE has 67 points two tours before the end of the Belarusian championship. Its main rival, Minsk Dynama, lost to Torpedo-BelAZ (2:1) and has no chance to win now. The Minskers hasve 60 points and will not be able to leave BATE behind even if they win the last two tours. Nevertheless, Minsk Dynama will certainly win silver medals as it is 12 points ahead of Salihorsk Shahtsyor.
Shahtsyor and Torpedo-BelAZ will compete for the third place – they have 48 and 46 points. Navapolatsk Naftan has 42 points and is unlikely to win bronze medals. However, it may take the fourth position.
