The Minsk City Council has made a decision to name several parts of the Belarusian capital.
Resolution No.386 as of 23 December 2013 was published on the National Legal Internet Portal on 11 January, BelTA has learnt. In particular, according to the resolution, the park within Kamennogorsksaya Street, Lidskaya Street, Kolesnikova Street and Kazimirovskaya Street will be named the Hugo Chavez Park.
New streets in Minsk will bear the names of other famous people such as Cyril of Turov and Ilya Kopiyevich.
