Uladzimir Makei taking part in meeting of OSCE foreign ministers

The 20th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OSCE member states opens in Kyiv on December 5.

According to BelaPAN, this meeting is the biggest annual event of the OSCE at the ministerial level. It is conducted for monitoring of the situation in the area of the organization's responsibility, evaluation of its activity and setting the tasks for the close perspective.

During the two-days meeting in Kyiv the foreign ministers plan to discuss a wide range of issues that cover all the spheres of cooperation in the framework of the OSCE. The key issue to consider is preliminary results of the 'Helsinki plus 40' process, aimed at building up of the 'security community' at the OSCE territory, and adoption of the corresponding ministerial declaration.
