The Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs has commented on the possibility of reducing the visa costs for our citizens.
The European states are already trying to facilitate the visa issues for Belarusians, Carl Bildt thinks. He said it during his speech at the Civil Community Forum taking place in Vilnius parallel to the Eastern Partnership summit.
Carl Bildt: We are already doing it! I do not remember the numbers but Poland is giving out a great number of free visas. We can do it on a unilateral basis within the system too. We can give visas for longer terms, for several years. Especially to young people. Lithuania does the same. Belarus gets the biggest number of Schengen visas per person in the world.
Bildt did not specify if anything else would be made to facilitate the visa regime for Belarus.
