The founder of tut.by has shared his opinion about the possibility of obligatory registration for influential online resources.
"It involves freedom restriction. Russian competitors, foreign websites and Belarusian websites hosted abroad will benefit from it. There is no mass media licensing in civilized states now. Europe has even abolished television licensing," Yury Zisser said.
Most influential Belarusian Internet resources may become mass media, deputy Minister of Information Dzmitry Shadko said earlier. "We suggest adding a number of changes to the Law on Mass Media to make the most popular resources mass media so that they can bear responsibility for distributing any kind of information and could be deprived of their registration if necessary," BELTA quotes the deputy Minister.
