If the Russian Minister of defense really intends to create a military base in Belarus, Poland will have to raise the question of the balance of forces in Central Europe on the NATO forum.
Polish military experts do not think that the Russian base will be a direct threat to Poland,Polish Radio External Service reports. However, the presence of S-300 missiles may disrupt the military balance in the region.
A Russian air regiment may be deployed in Belarus by 2015, Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu said on Tuesday. Russia will supply S-300 missiles to Belarus in the near future.
