The head of the Movement for Freedom made new sensational statements
Aliaksandr Milinkevich probably decided to struggle against independent journalists. Aliaksandr Milinkevich said in an interview with Beloruski Partizan website responding to criticism of his initiative Popular Referendum:
"The website Charter'97 is a biased propaganda resource. I am convinced that independent media don't have the right to do it even in a dictatorship. There must be diffident views. It is very important. You mustn't repeat what the Belarusian TV is doing, you mustn't moderate comments so strictly. Everyone knows it. I don't say anything new. I don't accept such methods both in politics and in journalism. If we say that we want freedom and want to live under the principles of justice and truth, we must follow them even today, under dictatorship. It is very dangerous, because there always have been and will always be different views. When we use a dirty fight, we lose our reputation. I am sure that the rating of the opposition that has been declining for the last few years due to this inside fight. Opposition groups fight against one another more cruelly than against the regime."
