Belarusian economist Leonid Zaiko appreciated the article of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on the program of economic development.
"There's enlightened authoritarianism in Russia, while in Belarus - unenlightened. We're joking this way among themselves, in the expert community", he said.
According to the expert, "Putin is the man who sees the development from the standpoint of market-based technologies, leaving dirigisme". Leonid Zakio believes that the issues raised by Putin are also relevant for Belarus, the agency REGNUM-Belarus informs.
"If Putin's position is the same in practice, it is a very constructive approach. Here we see that Putin is not acting as an administrator, not as a "statesman" (in terms of poor management)", said the economist.
According to him, "Putin and Lukashenko are antipodes, people with different views and different opportunities". In particular, he drew attention to the differences in the level of higher education and training of the politicians, which, he says, affects the quality of administrative decisions.
"In Belarus, we note the presence of stagnation, the absolute theoretical impasse. So, much of what we see is really frightening: lack of conceptualization in the development of Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko tried to walk barefoot and look for the way in wet grass", said Leonid Zaika.
