Political consultations in Vilnius

This week in Vilnius the representatives of the democratic forces of Belarus held political consultations and discussed the current situation and prospects of its development.

According to the chairman of the United Civil Party Anatoly Lebedko the politicians will claim to hold real reforms in Belarus, both in the policy and in the economy. "We also discussed pre-election situation and everyone supported the idea of common presidential candidate. According to the Independent Institute for Political and Economic Studies 51% of voters want to see a new person and only 37% will vote for Lukashenko. It is a good message for democratic forces."

The meeting was attended by the chairman of the National Committee of the United Democratic Forces (UDF) and the chairman of the United Civil Party (UCP) Anatoly Lebedko, Vice-Chairman of the UCP Lev Margolin, Valery Ukhnalev (Communist Party of Belarus), Alexander Kozulin (ex-presidential candidate), Alexander Yaroshuk (Belarusian Confederation of Democratic Trade unions), Stanislav Shushkevich (BSDG), Anatoly Levkovich (chairman of Belarusian Social Democratic Party), Mechislav Grib (Vice-Chairman of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party).
