A political prisoner Uladzimir Asipenka has been granted early parole release. Let us remind you that the Supreme Court sentenced the Vaukavysk entrepreneur to three years of imprisonment on May 6. Asipenka was returned guilty of storing and transporting weapons. Let us remind you that Mikalai Autuhovich was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment for the same case.
Asipenka says that the case was concocted and that he would like to complain to the General Prosecutor's Office. He claimed it in an interview with ERB.
Asіpenka: "I am going to lodge a complaint to the General Prosecutor's Office to subject investigators Klachko and Kuharchyk to responsibility for our illegal detention and imprisonment. I was delivered to the detention centre for an arson of the house of the chief of police I was not guilty of and they cancelled the accusation later. However, I spent six months in jail because of it. Let them look into it and give me a reply".
Speaking about the coming presidential election, Mr. Asipenka noted that independent candidates had little chance to win. He thinks the campaign will not do without rigging. But the entrepreneur will take part in the election anyway in order to vote for Andrei Sannikau. He had not considered the possibility of joining his initiative group yet but does not exclude it either.
