Viktar Sheiman detained outside Moscow

Assistant to president Lukashenka was on the way from Moscow to Belarus in his Toyota Land Cruiser jeep.

As "Ezhednevnik" writes, a foreign car was detained by traffic policemen in Moscow region for driving over the prescribed speed limit. Viktar Sheiman, Assistant to president Alyaksandr Lukashenka on Special Affairs, was in the car.

The incident took place in Ruza district Moscow region on Sunday. General-colonel was driving in his Toyota Land Cruiser from Moscow to Belarus on Minsk highway, Pravo.ru informs.

"The car of the Belarusian official was followed by State Road Safety Inspectorate officers of Moscow region," told a source in law-enforcing agencies. "After that the car continued its way unescorted. And via special communications traffic policemen ordered to guarantee green light for the car with Belarusian number plates. But something happened to communications means, and traffic control posts did not receive this instruction."

At 131th kilometre of Minsk highway traffic policemen stopped the car which dashed a speed of 140 km/h, and moreover crossed into the oncoming lane near the traffic post. Traffic policemen were greatly surprised when they saw a former Prosecutor General of Belarus, and now Lukashenka’s assistant!

Viktar Sheiman was released without any documents filed.

A spokesperson of Lukashenka Alyaksandr Kryzhanouski denied comments on this incident.
