Belarusian BelTA launches Polish-language page
The Belarusian news agency BelTA is launching the Polish-language page.

The agency runs six pages of its website. The largest are in the state languages: Russian and Belarusian. Director General of the BelTA news agency Irina Akulovich said. The agency also offers news in English, German, Spanish and Chinese.

"We translate our Youtube projects into foreign languages. The BelTA channel has long introduced subtitles. Such steps help us to increase our reach of the audience. We understand that today when information attacks from abroad against our country do not stop and when our current agenda is blocked by the Western media, it is important to find the most effective methods of conveying information about Belarus, about what is happening in our country," Irina Akulovich stressed.

"The Polish version of the BelTA website is an opportunity to convey to our neighbors, ordinary Poles, what their own government is trying to hide from them. Belarusians are for peace. We do not want war and are not going to attack anyone. We want Belarusians and Poles to visit each other freely, especially since many have family ties. We are for tourist trips. After all, there are a lot of interesting things to see in our countries. We are for business ties, because you cannot be neighbors and at the same time wage trade wars. I sincerely believe that the Polish-language news feed coupled with the country's visa waiver program for Poles will help them to get to know our country better, to learn more about the initiatives proposed by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko," Irina Akulovich said.

BelTA's website in Polish will be available today, she added.
