Belarus, Kazakhstan urged to rely on selves, friends
The modern world is selfish and nationalistic. We must rely only on ourselves and our friends, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu in Minsk on 19 June, BelTA has learned.

The head of state stressed that relations between Belarus and Kazakhstan are the foundation of interaction between a number of integration organizations, especially the CSTO and the EAEU. "Kazakhstan has always played an important role in the formation of these organizations, in their activities. So has Belarus," the president said.

“Looking ahead, I see Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus as this attractive center for other states. I recently said that there is no reason to hope that some rich neighbor will come and help us. Unfortunately, the world is selfish, nationalistic today. You (foreign ministers) see it better than I do. Therefore, at least at the moment, we must rely on ourselves and our friends, who will always help our and support," the Belarusian leader stressed.
