Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.66 on drafting reservist officers for military service on 10 March, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

The decree provides for drafting up to 230 men under 27 for service in the army in 2023. Up to 20 people, who have completed the relevant reservist officer training in military departments of Belarusian higher education institutions, have been assigned officer ranks, and have been transferred to reserve, will be recalled as well.

The steps the decree specifies are taken by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus every year on a regular basis.

The decree's implementation will help improve manning levels of junior rank officer positions in the army and will ensure quality training of the mobilization reserve.
